10 Signs Of Sun Poisoning
Sun poisoning, of course, does not literally mean that somebody is poisoned by the sun. It is instead a term used to describe a serious case of sunburn from ultraviolet radiation that leads to inflammation of the skin. Sun poisoning appears when a person has a strong reaction to the sun, which causes a flu-like response.
Symptoms of sun poisoning can occur up to 3 days after experiencing a bad sunburn. It means that little to no signs may emerge at the beginning. As a layman's term, sun poisoning only happens when there is a sunburn. Below are 10 common symptoms of sun poisoning.
Symptom #1: Myalgia
Myalgia means muscular pain that most commonly occurs because of the muscles' overstretching or overuse. It is a non-specific symptom that can be seen in many diseases like viral infections, nutritional deficiencies, autoimmune disorders, chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia, side effects of medications, and more.
The management of myalgia depends on the underlying cause. If the cause is unclear, myalgia can be treated through rest, ice packs, heat packs, muscle relaxants, painkillers or NSAIDs, and more.
